She/Her
Licensed Therapist, LCSW, CASAC
Although anyone diagnosed with OCD has met certain defined criteria, no two members are the same. Taking the time to really listen to what's causing each person's distress is essential to creating a treatment plan customized to the individual. My goal is for you to make the decisions that control your life, not your OCD. A fun fact about me: My travel goal is to visit all the islands in the Beach Boys song 'Kokomo'.

Facing your fears is hard. Feeling like OCD is taking over your life is harder. Taking that first step to get help is worth it. I can't wait to meet you.
I have always been someone others confide in and seek advice from. I like helping people, so becoming a therapist was a natural fit.
I've worked in the field for 20 years, in a variety of settings, with a variety of populations. Being able to effectively treat such a prevaIent and debilitating disorder in a short amount of time was very enticing prospect.
I have extensive experience working with anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, substance abuse, and borderline personality disorder.
Sharing your most distressing thoughts and fears is hard. Facing your fears is hard. Feeling like OCD is taking over your life and not knowing how to stop it is harder. Taking that first step to get help is worth it. I can't wait to meet you.
Go at your own pace. If there are things you don't want to share, you don't have to. Once we get to know each other and build trust, you might become more comfortable sharing scary thoughts. There might be some things that you never want to share, and that's totally your choice. The cool thing about our work together is that you get to set your limits and boundaries. It's not uncommon for a member to say they're nervous about sharing things that are distressing to them. I do my best to reassure them that after 20 years in the field, there isn't much that I haven't heard, I don't think it's possible to offend, shock, or gross me out anymore.
