She/Her
Licensed Therapist, MSW, LCSW
I'm really big on the idea that you get out of therapy what you put into it. I'm your GPS, and you're in the driver's seat. I'm here to support and guide you to your destination. But you're still the one who’s in charge. A few fun facts about me: I just got a puppy who has been consuming most of my free time. I've also done three international trips solo—to Western Europe, Eastern Europe, and Thailand.

OCD is complex. It has a lot of components to it, and there is much to understand. Doing ERP treatment is not easy. But the cool thing is that if you do it, you see results.
Therapy always seemed like a wonderful profession, and I was always interested in it. I was very close to my grandfather, who was a social worker. So when it came time to pick a major in college, social work was a natural fit.
As a therapist, I've worked with many conditions, but I wanted a specialty. I started working at an OCD and anxiety treatment center, and after learning more about OCD and anxiety-based disorders, I fell in love with the work. One person I worked with recently told me that before coming in and meeting with me, she didn't think she would get her life back. I love hearing about how much better life can be after learning ERP.
On top of OCD, I’ve done a lot of work treating generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety, panic disorder, body dysmorphic disorder, and BFRBs.
First and foremost, OCD is complex. It has a lot of components to it, and there is much to understand. Doing ERP treatment is not easy. But the cool thing is that if you do it, you see results. If you do the work, you will see improvement. These will probably be some of the toughest weeks and months of your life, but they will also be the most rewarding.
You should know that this is a safe, open, non-judgmental environment. I've worked with OCD for several years now. I really understand it, and having seen various themes, I have no judgment about any intrusive thoughts, especially those that may seem taboo. This is your safe place. When you share with me, open up, and be vulnerable, we can make sure you get better.
