She/Her
Licensed Therapist, MSW, LCSW, LICSW
As a therapist, I’ll make sure you feel safe. You can trust me. I know it's really hard to talk about some of the stuff that goes on inside your mind. I also like to make therapy fun—and it can be a lot of fun when you're learning how to master your thoughts. When I'm not doing therapy, I have a couple of German shepherds that I like to go hiking with, and I love swimming.

If you have OCD, you are in the right place. You have found one of the best possible places to get treatment. Know you have a therapist who will take your thoughts seriously and will treat you with respect.
I've always been a good listener. I was always that kid everybody came to when they had problems. In college, I took a psychology class, and I really loved it. I graduated with a bachelor's in psychology and after a while decided to go back and get my master's in social work.
Previously, when I worked in community health, I worked with people who had OCD, but I didn't know exactly what to do, so I really wanted to learn about it and expand my repertoire. Specializing in OCD felt like a really good opportunity to learn important skills and work with people who have underserved issues.
In addition to my specialization in treating OCD, I specialize in trauma, and I've treated all types of anxiety.
First, you're in the right place. If you have OCD, you have found one of the best possible places to get treatment. That's really important, because most people don't really understand OCD therapy. We use ERP, which is the gold standard in OCD treatment. It's all about learning how to manage your thoughts.
It's OK to share your thoughts. If you don't feel comfortable right now, that's OK too. We can certainly start working on the process and teaching you how to do the treatment, and when you become more comfortable, you could share those thoughts. I promise you, you won't be judged. Know you have a therapist who will take those thoughts seriously and will treat you with respect.
