Licensed Therapist, LPC, NCC
I really enjoy working individually with people, helping them meet their goals and creating a safe space. I would describe my treatment style as collaborative: I want to work together with you to make your treatment plan.

You're taking the biggest step right here. Getting yourself into therapy is awesome. It can also be really scary. But when it comes to OCD and ERP treatment, putting in the time and effort will pay off.
As a college undergrad, I studied psychology and human development. I learned that I really enjoyed working individually with people, helping them meet their goals and creating a safe space. That naturally led me to the therapist role.
As a grad student, I got my professional start by working in a residential center that specifically worked with people who have OCD. I saw how the ERP really helped them. That really drew my interest to OCD, because it was so awesome to see the change that I could make using effective treatment.
I've worked with social anxieties, phobias, depressive disorders, as well as ASD and ADHD. I've used ERP in some of those different areas as well. I would describe my treatment style as collaborative and eclectic. I want to work together with you to make your treatment plan and break down things that are challenges for you. I like to find different strategies that may help you get to where you want to be. Obviously, ERP is the gold standard. We're really going to work with that to address your OCD.
You're taking the biggest step right there. Getting yourself into therapy is awesome. It can also be really scary. But when it comes to OCD and ERP treatment, putting in the time and effort will pay off. It may be really hard at first, but gradually it will become easier and more manageable.
If that's the case, let me know. Bringing that into our session is super important. I've worked in various different areas of care, so I've heard a lot of things. It's very understandable to be anxious to share intrusive thoughts—or any thoughts in general! We can work to break that down or identify ways to build a safe space where you really feel comfortable sharing those things. I know it's really scary. But nothing you say to me will be something I haven't heard before.
